Dainava crushed the cup winner Gargždų Banga

In the 32nd round of the "TOPsport A League," Alytaus DFK "Dainava" knocked down Gargždų "Banga," who had won the LFF Cup just last week. The players from Alytus, who were active from the first minutes, won the match with a score of 3:0 (2:0).

The first danger came from the visitors – after a high pass from Gusto Zabitas, Dmytro Mandryčenko headed the ball, which was caught by Mantas Bertašius. In the 25th minute, a goal fell into the Gargždai net when Davoras Rakičius received a long pass from Ode Abdullahi and shot into the right corner of the goal, overcoming the opponent's goalkeeper.

In the 36th minute, the score was doubled by the team from Dzūkija, when after D. Mandryčenko's pass into the penalty area, Maksymas Maksymenko scored with a beautiful shot from the air. Soon, Vilius Piliukaitis responded with a dangerous moment, but Volodymyras Krynskis pressed the ball to his chest.

At the beginning of the second half, Renatas Banevičius deceived an opponent and attempted a shot on goal, to which Cesinha responded similarly, but both goalkeepers dealt with the attempts confidently. M. Bertašius pulled the ball out of the net for the third time when, in the 63rd minute, Artiomo Baftalovskio's shot into the corner of the goal was successful. In the 77th minute, the Alytaus team's goalkeeper defended against Vaidas Magdušauskas.

After the matches of the 32nd round of the "TOPsport A League," "Dainava" ended their losing streak – they have 36 points and maintained 6th place, while the footballers of "Banga" continue in 4th place with 40 points.
