Hegelmann team that broke 'Džiugas' secured second place in A league.

In the 32nd round of the "TopSport A League," the teams "Hegelmann" from the Kaunas district and "Džiugas" from Telšiai faced off. After experiencing a painful defeat in the FPRO LFF Cup final, the players from Kaunas managed to lift their spirits and defeated the team from Telšiai with a score of 1:0 (0:0).

The home team started the match more actively – Artemas Ščedras made a sharp pass into the penalty area, after which the Telšiai defenders had to work hard, and later Hugo Figuiredo attempted a header during a set piece.

In the 17th minute, Dominykas Kubilinskas threatened dangerously close to the post with a shot, and a few moments later he tried his luck with a header.

Midway through the half, Leifas Estevez posed a distant danger with a powerful shot.

At the beginning of the second half, Michaelis Thuique tested the vigilance of the Telšiai goalkeeper. Just a few minutes later, "Džiugas" responded with a counterattack, but L. Estevez missed the target.

In the 78th minute, the Kaunas team pierced the Telšiai defense – following a pass from Klaudijus Upstas, Esmilis Kaušinis sent the ball into the back of the net, lifting the spectators from their seats.

During the remaining time of the match, the visitors tried to rescue themselves, but the Kaunas goalkeeper Arijus Bražinskas had little work to do and kept the goal "dry.”

Having won their first match at the Raudondvaris stadium, the "Hegelmann" players now have 60 points and confidently remain in second place, while "Džiugas" sits in eighth place with 32 points.
