Panathinaikos defender found dead in private pool

The Greek football world was shaken by a horrific piece of news.

It was announced that George Baldock, a defender for Athens' "Panathinaikos," was found dead in his home pool.

This was reported by the BBC. According to reports, efforts to resuscitate the 31-year-old footballer at the scene were unsuccessful.

The exact cause of death is not yet clear.

Mr. Baldock returned to Greece last summer after spending seven seasons with "Sheffield United."
