The Lithuanian men's national football team started their UEFA Nations League group stage with two losses.
Both against Cyprus and Romania, the Lithuanians played wearing a new green kit, and there have already been reports suggesting that this may have hindered their ability to achieve a better result.
As journalist Mindaugas Augustis wrote on the portal "Delfi,” in 2015, the "Journal of Sport Sciences” published a study conducted by Dutch scientists.
It was found that when a team is trying to attack the opponents' goal, better results are achieved when wearing bright and contrasting colored kits. In contrast, uniforms that blend with the grass may help in defense.
In the upcoming matches, the Lithuanians will be playing in yellow jerseys.
