Porto club forward Samuel Omorodion told the portal Marca that he does not have warm feelings towards the Madrid club Atletico, which he was part of since last summer:
"I cried many nights in the 'Matrasų' team... It was a tough time for my family and mom as well.”
"Before moving to Porto, I trained separately. I didn’t feel like a part of the Atletico team, not as a footballer. I trained, but I wasn’t fully concentrated. It was very difficult and it weighed me down.”
"No one talked to me or explained why this was happening and why I wasn't talking to anyone... Because I already knew the position of the Atletico club.”
"I didn't move to London’s Chelsea club, even though the deal was almost done. In the end, everything happens for some reasons.”
"I wanted to play in the 'matrasų' team, it was my dream... But they didn’t want me, and the 'dragons' decided to trust me.”
I have to thank Porto and their president, as this club's great belief in me had a huge impact on my transfer, and I am happy.
Samuel Omorodion scored seven goals in several matches this season.
