One of the greatest Brazilian players of all time, Neymar, had the chance to play for Madrid's "Real" club.

As reported by "Marca," this worldwide-mentioned story took place in 2018 – just 12 months after the footballer left for Paris "Saint Germain" club.

At that time, the president of the royal club, Florentino Pérez, was seriously considering acquiring the forward, who was to replace the anger-suppressing Cristiano Ronaldo, who had left the club.

They intended to pay 330 million euros for Neymar and offer the player a 7-year contract with a guaranteed salary of 48 million euros per season.

However, these plans were opposed by "Real" coach Zinedine Zidane, who did not want to see the Brazilian in his squad. Furthermore, the specialist believed that the star would not be able to harmonize his playing style with defender Marcelo.

Later, Z. Zidane left the "Real" coaching position due to disagreements with the team management.
