The German club "St. Pauli" has decided to take drastic action.

The club has announced that it is withdrawing from the "X" (formerly known as "Twitter") platform.

The statement claims that "St. Pauli" made this decision due to the actions of the owner of the "X" platform, Elon Musk.

"Since taking over 'Twitter,' as this platform was previously called, E. Musk has turned 'X' into a hate machine. Racism and conspiracy theories are allowed to spread uncontrollably. Sanctions for insults and threats are rarely applied, under the guise of freedom of speech."

Furthermore, after winning the elections, Donald Trump chose Musk to lead a new government department. Musk was one of the main sponsors of Trump's campaign and also used "X" for that purpose. It can be assumed that "X" will also promote authoritarian far-right content during the upcoming German election campaign," the official "St. Pauli" statement reads.

"Bild" adds that other clubs in the country may take similar actions.
