"Palmeiras" club president Leila Pereira stated that she does not want to see Neymar in her team due to his constant injuries:

"Neymar will not join the "Palmeiras" team because our club is not a medical department.

I want players who can immediately join the club, who can compete tomorrow if the coach requires it.

I will not accept a player into my team who is not ready to compete."

Neymar is out for several months due to yet another injury.
