Ajax of Amsterdam has moved away from minimalism.

On Sunday, the legendary Dutch club announced that it has brought back its former logo, which is set to remain "forever".

The revived logo places a strong emphasis on the Greek mythology god Ajax. In the minimalist logo, he was drawn with 11 lines, representing the 11 players on a football field.

The returned logo was in use until 1991.
