The England national team striker Harry Kane received a special honor in his homeland.
A sculpture was unveiled for the 30-year-old player in London.
However, football fans were not very impressed with the artist Tony Currie's work.
Criticism flooded social media, claiming that the sculpture does not resemble the player very well, and the City Council's allocated sum of £7,200 was wasted as if thrown into a puddle.
A real proud moment for me to go back to where my life in football began and unveil a statue. I hope it helps inspire the next generation to work hard and believe in themselves. 🙌📸 pic.twitter.com/rbAs8RrZgS
