"Manchester City" may acquire a central midfielder in the upcoming transfer window.

Daily Mail journalist Sami Mokbel reports that the "Citizens" are interested in "Crystal Palace" midfielder Adam Wharton and "Real Sociedad" player Martin Zubimendi.

The Manchester club had a plan to strengthen the midfield next summer, but those plans may need to be accelerated, adds S. Mokbel.

Rodri, who suffered a cruciate ligament injury, will miss the rest of the season, so a replacement is needed. The midfield lacks a general, and the results are suffering because of it.
