Rubenas Amorimas secured his first victory as the manager of Manchester United in the English Premier League on Sunday.
The "Red Devils" defeated Liverpool's Everton 4-0 at home.
After the victory, the new "Man Utd" strategist was asked if his team could still compete for a spot in the top four. However, R. Amorim emphasized the importance of the team's performance over results.
"If I said we can't compete for a top-four place, I couldn't be the manager of 'Man Utd'. Still, I always want to be honest with our supporters.
At the moment, the team's performance is more important than the results. I always say that ultimately, the coach is responsible for the results. However, right now I want to focus only on our upcoming matches."
"Football is not always fair. On Thursday we won against Bodo 3-2, but I believe we deserved more. Today we won 4-0, but I think Everton deserved more,” said R. Amorimas.
