Mohamed Salah is undoubtedly the leader of the Liverpool team this season.
However, the 32-year-old Egyptian's contract will expire at the end of this season, and Liverpool is currently in no rush to offer their leader a new deal.
This has been addressed several times by M. Salah himself, with the most recent instance occurring after Sunday’s victory against Manchester City.
"So far, this has been my last home game with Liverpool against Man City, so I wanted to enjoy it,” M. Salah remarked at that time.
In response, Liverpool's coach A. Slot reacted quite cheekily at a press conference on Tuesday.
"Perhaps Salah knows something more about the 115 charges brought against the City club and hopes that they simply won’t be in the Premier League next season. I’m just joking. I emphasize, this is just a joke,” A. Slot said.
