"Liverpool” club defender Joe Gomez stated that he came close to leaving the "scousers”:

"I was close to leaving this team last summer.

But my thoughts have always been with the "Liverpool” team. I know how blessed I am to be here. Next summer will mark 10 years since I’ve been at this club. I don’t take that for granted.”
