Manchester United club forward Marcus Rashford stated to sports journalist Henry Winter that he is ready for a potential move to a new team and shared his feelings about being left out of the squad against Manchester City:

I personally think I am ready for a new challenge and other steps.

When I leave the Red Devils, I won’t have very gloomy feelings. You won’t hear any negative comments from me about this team. That’s just the kind of person I am.

When I leave this club, I will release a statement. From the bottom of my heart, I will always be red, 100%.

It's a shame that I didn't play in the derby... But it happened, we won it, so let's move forward. I won’t hide that I regret not playing, but I am becoming an older person and I can handle tougher phases.

A lack of professionalism? I feel a bit misunderstood, but I feel good about it.

I am a very simple person who loves football. That has been my life since childhood.

What am I going to do next? Sit here and cry about the current situation... Or do everything I can to ensure that next time I’m included in the team.

I am at the halfway point of my career. I don’t expect that my career peak is happening right now.

Will I show my best version again? Absolutely. That’s my mentality.

27-year-old Marcus Rashford has scored 7 goals in 24 matches this season.
