L. Zingertas and A. Živanovičius remain with Marijampolė's 'Sūduva' club

Marijampolė's "Sūduva" has extended contracts for the season with team captain Aleksandras Živanovičius and Linas Zingertas.

For 37-year-old A. Živanovičius, this will be his 9th season with "Sūduva." The central defender from Serbia arrived in Marijampolė back in 2017 and is currently the longest-serving player for the team.

With "Sūduva," A. Živanovičius has become Lithuanian champion three times and a Super Cup winner, has been the country’s vice champion twice, and has triumphed once in the LFF Cup tournament.

22-year-old "Sūduva" graduate L. Zingertas played in Italy from 2018 to 2021, and since 2022, with a six-month interruption when he transferred to Vilnius district "Transinvest," he has again represented his hometown team.

"Sūduva" started preparations for the 2025 season on January 8, and will play their first friendly match on January 18 at 1 PM in the Marijampolė football arena’s indoor facility against Alytus "Dainava." Football fans can purchase tickets for the match in advance on the bilietai.lt website and at the Marijampolė culture center box office (Vilkaviškio g. 2).

The stadium box office will be open from 12 PM before the first friendly match.
