S. Rolfes: "We believe we can keep F. Wirtz and X. Alonso at Bayer club"

The director of the Laverkusen "Bayer" club, Simon Rolfes, stated to the sports portal "SkySportDE" that he hopes to retain head coach Xabi Alonso and team star Florian Wirtz:

"We believe we have a good chance of keeping F. Wirtz and X. Alonso with us.

Both of them have valid contracts and feel comfortable. A new contract for Florian Wirtz? We still have many details to sort out."

Xabi Alonso's contract with the German champions is valid until the summer of 2026.
