One referee in North America found Lionel Messi's autograph to be quite expensive.
After the CONCACAF tournament "Champions Cup" match between Miami's "Inter" and "Kansas City" teams, referee Marco Antonio Ortiz Nava asked for Lionel Messi's autograph.
The legendary forward's autograph was intended for a family member of the referee, who is disabled.
Despite this, CONCACAF has initiated an investigation. Ultimately, M. A. Ortiz Nava was disqualified from officiating for six months.
If such an incident were to happen again, the Mexican referee would be suspended permanently.
