E. Maresca: "We are in the worst period of this season"

The head coach of London’s Chelsea club, Enzo Maresca, once again defended Cole Palmer and described this "aristocrats" season:

"I said from the very beginning that we cannot rely on C. Palmer in every match. He needs to keep working, be happy, and smile like he used to."

"We are extremely happy with the Englishman. It is normal to be in a period like this when it is harder to compete, but that doesn’t matter."

"We need to support this team. I told my players: We are in the worst period of this season...”

"We are in 5th place and trailing by points from the 4th position."

London’s Chelsea club is in 5th place in the standings with 46 points and will compete in the Conference League Round of 16.
