Real Sociedad: Referees pulled Man Utd into the next stage © AP

"Real Sociedad” team does not hide its anger.

"La Liga” representatives believe that the referees significantly contributed to their failure in the UEFA Europa League round of 16 second leg match against "Man Utd”, as they awarded two penalty kicks against them and sent off defender J. Aramburu.

The Spaniards suffered a defeat of 1:4 (aggregate score – 2:5) and were forced to end their campaign.

"It is hard to believe that such refereeing can be witnessed in a European tournament. This is absolute disrespect.

The brave and magnificent "Real Sociedad” club could not reach the quarter-finals because decisions were constantly made in favor of "Man Utd.”

"Despite our players’ tremendous efforts, a fabricated penalty and a questionable red card determined the club's defeat,” wrote the team’s website.
