A. Postecoglou: "Soon, an artificial intelligence will officiate the matches" © AFP

On Thursday, London's Tottenham experienced yet another defeat in this season's English Premier League, losing 0-1 to Chelsea away from home.

Indeed, halfway through the second half, the Spurs equalized, but after a VAR review, the goal was disallowed due to a foul.

This decision greatly angered Tottenham's coach Ange Postecoglou after the match.

"Such decisions kill football, which is no longer what it used to be.

The referee awarded the goal and then it took even six minutes to find a reason to disallow it. It's just unbelievable.

I believe that soon matches will just be officiated by artificial intelligence. Even now, referees no longer make decisions on the pitch; it's done by people in the VAR room. I don't like this,” complained A. Postecoglou after the match.
