Real Madrid on Tuesday started their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal series with a 0:3 loss against Arsenal.
The first two goals for Arsenal came from two impressive penalty kicks by Declan Rice, with one of them being the responsibility of Real goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
"For the first goal, I thought I had set up the wall well. Typically, in such cases, I put an additional player in the wall. I take responsibility for the first goal. I didn’t expect Rice to curl the ball like that.
The second penalty was just a superb goal.
I believe we could have avoided the fouls in both situations. They were definitely unnecessary,” Courtois said while speaking to Movistar.
