Raphinha 'stole' a goal from his teammate: 'I apologized to Cubarsi' © AFP

“Barcelona” – one foot in the UEFA Champions League semifinals.

The Catalans triumphed in the first match of the quarterfinal series at home on Wednesday, crushing Borussia Dortmund 4-0, and next week they just need to finish the formalities in Germany.

The hosts were led by Raphinha, who sent the ball from the goal line into the net. However, the ball would have gone into the net anyway after Pau Cubarsi's shot, and Raphinha's touch led to the goal being reviewed by VAR for a possible offside.

After the match, the Brazilian himself claimed that he apologized to his teammate.

“I was a bit worried about whether I was offside. I’m glad everything ended happily.

After the match, I apologized to Cubarsi. He told me not to worry because he's happy with the assist.

It just seemed that the ball was flying close to the goal, so it was just a natural instinct,” Raphinha said.
