Football and Basketball 'Žalgiris' Captains Duel: F. Černychas vs. E. Ulanovas

#ŽalgirisChallenge featured a never-before-seen duo – the captains of Kaunas "Žalgiris" basketball and football teams.

Before the first home match of FK "Kauno Žalgiris" of the season, which will take place on April 12 at 17:00 at the Darius and Girėnas Stadium, "Žalgiris TV" threw a challenge to the team captains Fedoras Černychas and Edgaras Ulanovas.

Both Žalgiris players received various questions about basketball and football. Upon hearing the question about the opponent's sport, the challenge participants had an advantage – they could guess first.

"I know how to shoot; let's go to the tirage," F. Černychas laughed after a correct guess.

E. Ulanovas and F. Černychas had to guess who was the first Žalgiris player to bring Paulius Jankūnas to training, how many LKL champion titles the "Žalgiris" club has, and which legend's jersey was raised to the arena rafters first.

"I’ve been forgetting for ten years somewhere… I was counting from 1991 until about 2016," the captain of the football team said, grabbing his head.

When asked about football, the participants had to name the all-time top scorer of "Kauno Žalgiris," the year football emerged in the "Žalgiris" organization, or the club players who have played the most matches.

In the second part of the challenge, the captains faced questions about foreign football and basketball, so the Žalgiris players had to think hard.

"My supported team is Real Madrid; I hope they have won the most. I remember they recently won their tenth title," E. Ulanovas spoke about the UEFA Champions League.
