UEFA continues to show favoritism towards Russia, which caused the war in Ukraine and constantly kills innocent people.
In early April, European football officials, at the suggestion of UEFA president Aleksandr Čeferin, honored the Russian Alexey Bugayev, who was eliminated in the war, during their congress. Bugayev had previously played for the national team of the terrorist state and was later convicted of drug trafficking.
Furthermore, both FIFA and UEFA leaders burn with the desire to quickly return Russians to international competitions.
The latest scandal came during the European futsal championship qualifiers that took place yesterday, when it was prohibited to honor the victims of the macabre Russian attack in Sumy before the match between the national teams of Ukraine and Romania in Kościelna (Poland).
However, UEFA's plan backfired – the players from both teams demonstrated that the principles of humanity are above the directives of an organization that has repeatedly been mired in corruption scandals.
😡 UEFA did not allow the honoring of the fallen before the Euro 2026 futsal qualifying match between the national teams of Ukraine and Romania.
