F. Carro: "If X. Alonso's offer comes from the 'Real' club, we will let him leave."

The general director of Bayer Leverkusen, Fernando Carro, revealed that in a few weeks the future of head coach Xabi Alonso and the agreement regarding the Spaniard's departure will be clarified:

"X. Alonso's future with the team will be decided in the coming three to four weeks.

We have a very good relationship with the Real Madrid team."

"We have a gentleman's agreement with Xabi Alonso regarding his departure from the team.

If he receives an offer from a team where he previously played, we will sit down, discuss it, and will not hinder his departure."

Xabi Alonso is the main candidate to replace the current coach Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid after the season.
