The 9th round of the "TOPsport A League" continued in Alytus, where the Dainava players, supported by a large crowd of "Dzūkų tankų," returned to their home stadium to face the Vilnius "Riteriai." However, the Alytus team will have to wait for their first victory of the season. The teams ended in a draw – 1:1 (1:0).

In the first 15 minutes, neither team managed to seize the initiative. Among the Vilnius players, Benjaminas Mulahalilovičius took a shot near the goal, while DFK "Dainava" representative Artiomas Baftalovskis also missed wide.

In the 31st minute, the Dainava players were the first to score in the match – after A. Baftalovskis’ assist, Davoras Rakičius scored with a header.

Once again this season, the injury-plagued "Riteriai" were forced to make a substitution in the first half. Armandas Šveistrys took the field in place of Milano Rutkovskis.

The second half remained calm until the 66th minute, when a shot by Deimantas Rimpa ricocheted off and changed direction, landing in the goal defended by Airidas Mickevičius.

At the very end of the match, Dainava's Japanese player Takumi Hiruma had a great opportunity to extend the lead, but he missed the goal.

With another point added to their tally, the "Riteriai" now have 10 points and have caught up with the surprise team of the round, "Panevėžys." Meanwhile, the "Dainava" team remains at the bottom of the league table with just 2 points.
