Roman Abramovich's London is close to acquiring the England national team and securing S. Gerrard for 31 million euros.
There is increasing talk that Steven Gerrard will become the most expensive football player in English history. Last season Gerrard extended his contract with Liverpool for four years, but according to Liverpool club manager Rick Parry, S. Gerrard could move to Chelsea as he is not satisfied with his position in the team.
If S. Gerrard were to move to London, he and F. Lampard would form a great duo in the midfield for the England national team.
"Steven is a fantastic player, our duo works great, he would definitely strengthen our team." - said Lampard.
