Three first Lithuanian Football Federation Cup quarterfinal matches were played. In the most interesting duel in Panevėžys, the leaders of the Lithuanian championship - "Ekranas" and "Kaunas" - met. The hosts led for a long time, but the visitors equalized in the last minute, so now they will have an advantage of an away goal.
The same result was recorded in Klaipėda, where "Šilutė" did not lose to "Vėtra", and in the derby of Vilnius teams, the team of "Žalgiris" won, which was considered as playing away in this match.
The fourth quarterfinal match was postponed because Klaipėda's "Atlantas", recently returned from Intertoto Cup matches in Moscow, asked for a week delay in the match against Marijampolė's "Sūduva".
