In the first stage of the UEFA Intertoto Cup tournament, decisive battles began. Today, the return match in Tallinn against "JK Trans Narva" was played by Vilnius "Vėtra". The team of the Lithuanian capital already had a three-goal advantage over the opponent from Estonia from the first match - back then, after two goals from Nerijus Vasiliauskas and one from Vytautas Karvelis, "Vėtra" crushed their opponents with a score of 3 - 0.
