The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has announced a new world club ranking. For the first time, the leader is the Scottish champion Glasgow Celtic, who previously was in fourth place.

In second position is the Brazilian club São Paulo, which has moved up one step, while in third place is the Spanish champion and winner of the UEFA Cup. The winner of the UEFA Champions League, where Edgaras Jankauskas plays, is sixth, and one place below is the former leader of the ranking Boca Juniors from Buenos Aires.
