After several weeks of talks, negotiations, and misunderstandings, Roberto Mancini finally officially signed a three-year contract with Milan.
The 40-year-old coach had long been identified as the man to replace the departing Alberto Zaccheroni, but his contract with Roma did not allow him to change clubs.
Negotiations had been ongoing for a long time and yesterday Lazio agreed to terminate the contract with the coach. Today, Mancini arrived from Rome to Milan and agreed on the terms of the contract. Along with him, several of his assistants will move to Inter.
Meanwhile, the club also announced the acquisition of defender Nicolas Burdisso. The 22-year-old Argentine moved from Buenos Aires' Boca Juniors.
