Yesterday, club fans were introduced to the new team player - Nicolas Burdisso.

The 23-year-old defender, who has already played for the Argentine national team, was close to reaching an agreement with "Palermo", a club that made it to Serie A this year, but he changed his mind after representatives of "Nerazzurri" contacted him.

"I called the leaders of "Palermo" club and thanked them for their interest," Burdisso revealed, "but I will admit that I have always dreamed of playing for a big club, like "Inter". A club that will allow me to fight for important trophies."

This defender is considered the successor of former club defensive pillar Walter Samuel in the center of the Argentine national team defense. His transfer to Milan "Internazionale" cost around 5 million pounds.

One big advantage of this player is his Spanish citizenship, so the contract with him will not be an obstacle for another Argentine, Juan Veron, to play for the "black and blues."
