Today the UEFA Intertoto Cup second round matches ended. After them, the opponents of Vilnius "Vėtra", who defeated a team yesterday, were revealed for the third round - it will be a club from Denmark.
In the first home match, "Esbjerg" won 1-0. In the second leg, "Nice" led until the end of the match after Cedric Varrault's goal, but Lucena equalized the score in the 89th minute. So the Danish team won with a total score of 2-1.
Moscow, who eliminated "Atlanta" from the tournament in the third round, will meet one of the Spaniards who triumphed in the Intertoto Cup last season, then reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup.
The first matches of the third Intertoto Cup stage will take place on July 17, and the second leg on July 24.
