Madrid president Florentino Perez ordered his club agents to sign a contract with the Greek Giorgos Seitaridziu.
The 22-year-old defender had already agreed almost handshake with. The Portuguese champions had also agreed to pay 2.5 million euros in compensation for the Greek, but when Real Madrid entered the battle for Seitaridziu, he decided not to sign a contract with Porto, but to wait for an offer from the royal club.
It is believed that Perez wants to acquire Seitaridziu not only to strengthen Real's defense, but also out of revenge against Porto's president Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa, who ended negotiations between Real Madrid and Ricardo Carvalho.
