One of the most famous Bulgarian footballers of all time, Hristo Stoichkov, has been appointed as the new head coach of the national team. The Bulgarian Football Federation has signed a two-year contract with him.

The Executive Committee of the Federation voted in favor of Hristo Stoichkov's candidacy, who will replace Plamen Markov, who did not want to extend his contract," said Atanas Karaivanov, a representative of the Bulgarian Football Federation.

It is worth noting that Hristo Stoichkov was a leader of the Bulgarian national team that finished fourth in the 1994 World Cup.
