Yesterday (Thursday) Spanish superclub Real Madrid's Brazilian forward Ronaldo officially confirmed that he has extended his contract with the Royal club until 2008. Speaking to the media, Ronaldo also stated that he is happy that Florentino Perez will continue to be the club's president.
"I don't understand why people say that I will not renew my contract. It's not true," said the most productive player of last season's Spanish championship. "I will play here until 2008 and I am very pleased that Perez will be president until the end of my contract."
"I have only been in training camp for a few days, but I can already say that Camacho is a very good coach," added Ronaldo. "He was a player himself and knows how to handle and communicate with us, which is very important for achieving victories."
