The 32-year-old player suffered a knee ligament injury during Wednesday's training session and will have to undergo surgery next week by "Panathinaikos" president and orthopedic specialist, Argyris Mitsos.
Meanwhile, the Greek champions' club today traveled to Slovenia to start their main preparation for the upcoming new season. The goalkeeper's injury will likely give the opportunity to shine to the new club acquisition - Croatian Srdan Andric, who plays in the same position as the Lithuanian.
