This year, it is planned to start building a modern football complex in the capital, which will have no analogs in the Baltic countries. It will be located in Naujoji Vilnia, on Karklų street. The project will be implemented by the Vilnius City Municipality, the Lithuanian Football Federation, and private investors. The total project cost is expected to be around 20 million litas.

"It is very important for us that the development of the city of Vilnius is even. We are delighted that the much-needed football complex for the capital will be built in Naujoji Vilnia - a district located further away from the city center. This complex is not just a renovated space, it is an opportunity for our youth to grow to victory in Lithuanian, European, and world championships," said Vilnius Mayor Artūras Zuokas.

According to the President of the Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF), Liutauras Varanavičius, the new football complex will become a symbol of the LFF's future. "We will strive to move from plans to real work as soon as possible. I want to emphasize that this will depend not only on the Federation but also on the financial contribution of other founders of the football complex," said the LFF president.

"The sports complex in Naujoji Vilnia will have no analogs in the Baltic countries. The main football stadium will host top-level international football competitions," said LFF Vice President Gintautas Babravičius.

The football complex will be available for training for all age groups of the country's national teams. One of the stadiums will be covered, so active sports activities can be carried out here all year round. Several pitches with artificial and grass cover will be installed, which will be open not only to professional footballers but also to the community of Naujoji Vilnia. In addition, there will be sports schools for children in football, tennis, basketball, and other sports.

It is expected that the new football complex will help bring the community of Naujoji Vilnia together and address youth employment, crime, and unemployment issues. After the football complex is built, various service and service-providing companies should start developing nearby, so over time this complex should become the basis for the economic revival of Naujoji Vilnia. The founders of the complex plan to preserve and organize all public beaches located near it. Active recreation areas, changing rooms, and trash bins will be installed. Next to the complex, a square is promised to be built where the community can hold mass celebrations, concerts, and other events.
