Kluivert has a contract with Barcelona for one more year, where he has played for the past six seasons, but he was plagued by various injuries last season and his relationship with the club's management soured. The footballer also lost his position as the main striker for the Dutch national team, which was taken over by another Dutch star Ruud van Nistelrooy. Patrick Kluivert was registered for the European Championship in Portugal, but did not spend a single minute on the field. It is reported that Patrick Kluivert will receive 7 million euros in his new club over 12 months, of which 1.75 will be paid by Barcelona. "We are pleased, as both parties have agreed to the terms.
