"Valencia" defender Amedeo Carboni, who occupies the second place in the Spanish championship, has extended his contract with the team for another two years. The 1.80-meter-tall Italian, who will turn 39 on April 6, joined "Valencia" from the "AS Roma" team seven years ago. The newly signed contract will be valid until June 30, 2006, when Carboni will be 41 years old. Despite his significant age, Carboni remains the main left-back for "Valencia" this season, having only missed 2 out of 28 team matches. Last Sunday's 2-0 victory of "Valencia" against "Celta" Vigo was the 500th match of the relentless Italian's career.
