The national team and club defender Frank Lampard has signed a new five-year contract with the London club.
The 26-year-old player signed the contract in Seattle, where "Chelsea" is preparing for the first round of matches in the USA against Glasgow.
"I am very pleased to have signed a new contract," - said F. Lampard on the official club website. "I have always been sure that I want to stay here and I was convinced that the club also wants me."
There were rumors that the best player of last season at "Chelsea", F. Lampard, might not sign a new contract. The main reason for dissatisfaction, according to the player, was the low salary.
