Maresca moved to "Fiorentina" © EuroFootball.com

Former Italian football giant aiming to perform well in the elite "Serie-A" league continues to strengthen its lineup - Juventus has acquired goalkeeper Enzas Maresca from Turin.

The 24-year-old player's contract with Juventus was reportedly only valid for one more year, and he did not fit into coach Fabio Capello's future plans. Therefore, half of the rights to Maresca, for approximately 2 million euros, are believed to have been sold to the "Fiorentina" club, with which the player signed a contract until 2008.

"Fiorentina" also announced a reconciliation with veteran Angelo Di Livio. The 37-year-old veteran agreed to stay with the team two years after the club's bankruptcy and relegation to "Serie-C", becoming a symbol of the team. Recently, negotiations for a new contract between the player and the club had separate opinions, but finally an agreement was reached - Di Livio will continue to play for the Florence team for at least another year.

Meanwhile, in other transfer news, a former Italian national team goalkeeper from "Lazio" has moved to "Atalanta", "Livorno" has purchased Colombian Nicolas Cordova from "Bari", and a defender was loaned from the club.
