Such a categorical end of the rescheduled match between FK "Sūduva" and FK "Ekranas" of the NFKA A League 16th round was evaluated by "Ekranas" strategist Virginijus Liubšys.
"We won deservedly. However, after conceding a goal, tension was felt. We created unnecessary problems for ourselves. I am satisfied with the first half, especially the first 20 minutes. Throughout the game, we were able to create many opportunities, but unfortunately, we failed to capitalize on them. Such a situation, of course, is unsatisfactory. However, overall, I am satisfied with "Ekranas" performance in this match. It feels like the work of Italian coaches. The further we go, the harder it will be to defeat "Sūduva."
The head coach of "Ekranas" thanked the "Sūduva" club and coaches for the opportunity to reschedule the match. "We really needed these matches before traveling to Luxembourg. And that victory was even more necessary for "Ekranas."
FK "Sūduva" head coach Rino Lavezzini, congratulating V. Liubšys on the victory and wishing success in the Europa League matches, said after the recent match:
"We knew that today we would meet one of the best teams in Lithuania. Our team also demonstrated good play today, especially at the beginning of the second half. I hope that other teams will not be as strong as "Ekranas," and it will be much easier for "Sūduva." And don't expect results immediately, give it time. We are determined to work hard and achieve good results."
The final score of the match was 2 - 1 (1 - 0).
