"Juventus" defender Lilian Thuram announced that he will no longer play for the French national team. The player revealed his decision in an interview with a French football newspaper. "I have been thinking about retiring since the unsuccessful 2002 World Cup, but coach Santini advised me not to rush. After the disappointing performance in Portugal, I will no longer play for the national team. I will focus solely on playing for Juventus," Thuram said.
