Madrid rented out their attacker Javier Portillo to an Italian club.
As Fernando Morientes returned and seems to stay in Madrid, Portillo's chances to play in the main lineup were assessed very poorly.
Portillo was the most productive youth player of "Real". He showed himself in the main lineup in the 2002-2003 season, but in the following year, the attacker scored only one goal in 393 minutes spent on the field.
"I would like to thank Madrid "Real" for the help provided," - said Portillo.
"I would also like to thank "Fiorentina" for giving me a chance to gain experience, which will be very useful for me in the future when playing for the Madrid team," - added the football player.
