In the highest league of Lithuania, two matches of the fourteenth round were played. No surprises were recorded - the victories were won by teams that were considered favorites before the matches.
In the capital city derby, "Vėtra", which had finished participating in the Intertoto Cup tournament, easily defeated "Vilnius" in the first league match at the new stadium. Meanwhile, Klaipėda's "Atlantas" won against "Šilutė" with a minimal result in an away match, and at least temporarily approached the top two teams.
Tomorrow, in the third round of matches, "Žalgiris" from Vilnius will face "Sūduva" from Marijampolė.
