The super club of Spain stated that they will no longer try to acquire player N. Anelka, if the Spanish club fails to reach an agreement beforehand regarding forward S. Eto'o.
Barcelona has been chasing this Cameroonian player all summer, but the club's plans to acquire this player are constantly being thwarted by one of the main rivals in the Spanish league, Real Madrid.
The player's commitment to the club Real allows them to have preferential rights to Eto'o.
Barcelona has already offered 21 million euros (72.45 million Lt) to Mallorca club to acquire this player and now the Catalans must wait to see if Real will exercise their rights and offer a higher amount for the player.
Barca stated that they have focused all their attention on S. Eto'o and no other players interest the club.
