The Italian national team and the defender will play for the country's vice-champion club next season - today the official announcement was made about the completed transfer.
For some time negotiations were taking place between the two clubs, and they accelerated when Brazilian Emerson was sold. In his place, coach Cesare Prandelli wanted to call 26-year-old Perrotta, and the coach's request was granted - an agreement was reached for a transfer fee of approximately 4.5 million euros.
However, it seems that Roma's attempts to strengthen the team do not end there, as the striker would like to follow the example of the coach Prandelli and defender who moved to Roma this summer.
"Playing together with (them) in front of 70 thousand spectators would be a dream come true." - says Gilardino.
The leader of the Italian youth national team is being followed by many European clubs, but so far only Roma has tried to acquire him.
"The only concrete offer that Parma received is from Roma. At the moment, I think there is a 60 percent chance that the transfer will happen, but anything can happen until the transfer market closes on August 31st." - said the 22-year-old player.
