The head coach of the Lithuanian youth (up to 21 years old) national team Virginijus Liubšys announced the list of players who will play friendly matches with the German youth national team.
The match will take place on August 17th in the city of Celle. Start time - 21:00 Lithuania time. The live broadcast will be shown on the German DSF channel.
The team will begin preparations for the match on August 15th. The entire national team will meet around 13:00 in Vilnius, at the "Europa City" hotel, and will train at the Vilnius "Žalgiris" stadium on the same day at 18:00.
The coach of the youth team Virginijus Liubšys said that spectators and journalists will be able to watch this training session: "It will be really nice if we receive spectators and their support even during training, as in Germany we probably won't see our own fans in the stands."
"We are not doing any special preparation for these friendly matches. We constantly monitor our players in the matches of the A-League championship. We hope not to lose, we will try to play as best as we can. Currently, we are analyzing last year's matches against the Germans. We noticed that the German game on the field does not change much - their formation on the field is usually the same - 4-4-2. They do not change their game pattern," - said V. Liubšys.
Our country's youth team has already played two friendly matches this year - they were narrowly defeated by the teams of Israel and Belarus.
